Woman Out of Jail After Stealing Thousands of Dollars From Christian Organization

A woman with close ties to a Christian organization is accused of stealing thousands of dollars for months, without anyone knowing.
According to police Tonya Woodward stole nearly nine thousand dollars over a four month period from the Columbia Baptist Association.
51 year old Woodward worked as a secretary at the association.
Police say she took the money for her personal gain.
Police also say she made twenty six checks out to herself.
Although she faces ten counts of felony theft charges, she has made her 150-thousand dollar bond just Tuesday of this week.
Now if Woodward is convicted she could face up to ten years for each felony count, that's about one hundred years in prison.
District attorney Doug Valeska wants to warn other businesses that we are seeing more white collar crimes in our area.
No word yet on when Woodward will have her next court date.
