Woman Arrested Attempts to Conceal Drugs Packaged for Sale

On December 12, 2012 at approximately 1949 hours Officers with the Marianna Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a black Hyundia passenger vehicle with an equipment defect and the driver in violation of a safety restraint device. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without a license. After being arrested, the defendant tampered with physical evidence in an attempt to conceal approximately 8.7 grams of marijuana packaged for individual sale and some pills in the back seat of a patrol vehicle. Upon being transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility the defendant still had some marijuana on her person, approximately .6 grams and was additionally charged for the introduction into a Correctional Facility.

Charges: Sale or Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell within 1,000 feet of Church, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Introduction of Contraband into a Correctional Facility, Possession of Marijuana (Less than 20 grams), No Driver License
