The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated battery that took place shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday morning in Mary Esther.
A 9-1-1 call that was received reported a man was beating a woman at a home on Kathy Court.
The 58-year old victim was taken by Lifeflight Helicopter to a Pensacola hospital.
One person was detained at the scene and is currently in custody.
