A local organization is hoping to get kids to play the right note.
The Wiregrass Youth Symphony Orchestra is ready to register the 2013-2014 session.
Registration will take place on Aug. 10 at the Cultural Arts Center at 9:30 a.m. the fee is $165 and the session is from August until May. The group practices every Saturday morning.
“It is very important in all of our lives,” explained Anna Marie Tysinger of the Tri-State Community Orchestra. “Music affects all of us, we sing with the radio, we sing at church, we play in school. In this part of the country string programs are pretty rare and this is a unique opportunity for students who are new to music who want to do something a little different.”
