Wiregrass Patriot Guard Riders Are Honored

Wiregrass Patriot Guard Riders are honored for their continuous support of American veterans.

Presentations of an electric bugle and case were held outside of the Our Place Diner located on hwy 231 in Ozark. Sen. Harri Anne Smith also presented the organization with a certificate of appreciation. Former Ozark mayor Bob Bunting spoke great words as well on behalf of State Representative Martha Roby.

"We're extremely grateful for the donations and for the presentation of this bugle. It gives us the ability to perform Taps at funerals and memorial ceremonies," said Rick Mccleskey, the senior ride captain for the Wiregrass Patriot Guard Riders.

The Patriot Guard Riders are a volunteer non-profit organization that ensures dignity and respect at memorial services honoring fallen military heroes, first responders and honorably discharged vets.
