Wiregrass Family's Grandson Faces Terminal Illness

By  |

When Dianne Whaley heard that her grandchild Jeremiah was diagnosed with Fanconi Anemia, she did not know the true nature of the disease and how much different it is from the typical anemia diagnosis.

She and her husband Zack read about the disorder and found out it was much more serious. The family wants to get Jeremiah to the doctor that handles this disorder, but the bone marrow transplant will cost $1.7 million.

The family is asking for a $5 donation in exchange for a bracelet with Jeremiah's name and the disease he is fighting written on it. If you wish to buy a bracelet you can visit Zack's Family Restaurant in Dothan, Slocomb, or Enterprise, or you can call 334-673-9225.
