Parts of northern Alabama and Georgia were turned into a Winter Wonderland on Wednesday.
As the second wave of a storm system moved through, rain turned to sleet and eventually snow across much of the northern third of Alabama during the evening and nighttime hours on Wednesday.
Numerous roads and schools will be closed in the area on Thursday, however, forecasters predict temperatures will rise above freezing during the day, helping to shorten the amount of time that travel problems could persist.
In the video above, we have a variety of pictures from those across North Alabama who saw the snow first hand.
And, the storm isn't over with Alabama, Georgia and the Carolinas--it is currently predicted to bring more snow and ice to the northeastern United States on Thursday.
