Wind Advisory for Wiregrass from 8am until 3pm Central Time Today

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has placed the Wiregrass under a Wind Advisory today, for expected winds above 25 miles per hour.

This wind advisory will go into effect beginning at 8am Central Time and last until 3pm Central Time.

Frequent wind gusts of 25 to 30 miles per hour are expected in the advisory area.

That area includes the following counties in the area: Coffee, Dale, Henry, Geneva and Houston counties in Alabama; Holmes, Walton, Jackson in Florida and Early and Seminole counties in Georgia.

Forecasters say that “light weight unsecured objects like garbage cans and patio furniture can be turned over.” They also advise against boating on area lakes.

Take caution when driving, especially in lightweight vehicles.
