MOBILE, Ala. (AP) -- Mobile residents got a scare as a large water spout moved across Mobile Bay within sight of downtown.
The National Weather Service says the water spout was visible about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday before dissipating over the water.
The funnel didn't cross on to land, and authorities aren't reporting any damage.
