Washington County officials have declared a state of emergency. Dozens of the county's roads are under water, as are resident's homes.
The flash flooding began just this morning and already, families are choosing to evacuate their homes.
But for families like the Laminack's, they have no choice.
"We've lost everything," said Kelly Laminack. "We've been dealing with the massive flood that has come with all this rain and it has just wiped everything out. We have nothing left. Nothing.
The Red Cross set up a shelter at Vernon High School. For more information visit the county's website, www.washingtonfl.com.
