With colder than normal temperatures approaching the area over the next few days, the City of Enterprise will open a temporary warming station.
The Enterprise Recreation Center, located at 421 E. Lee Street, will open Monday January 6th at 12 noon thru Wednesday January 8th at 9am.
This facility will be for residents that do not have the appropriate heat or who need to be indoors. Limited amounts of food will also be available to residents who use the warming station.
Residents that will be using the facility need to bring appropriate medicines and specialty dietary items if applicable. Also, pets will not be allowed in the Recreation Center at any time due to health and possible risks associated in dealing with animals. Residents who require service animals will be allowed to bring their animal into the facility.
We also urge all residents to take all necessary precautions concerning cold weather. Residents should remember the 4 P’s, People, Pets, Plants, and Pipes and make sure that all of these items are taken care of.
In addition, the City of Enterprise is asking residents to turn off automatic sprinkler systems to avoid street run-off that might ice over. This could create icy conditions and jeopardizes the safety of our residents.
