On December 19, 2013 the Dothan Police Department, with the assistance of the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and Troy (Alabama) Police Department, located and arrested Demingus Montez Humphrey, wanted for second degree Assault (of a law enforcement officer) in Troy Alabama.
Warrants were obtained for Humphrey’s arrest following the December 13th, 2013 incident in which officers made contact with him near the dumpster of a business located in the 2100 block of Ross Clark Circle. During that time, Humphrey was found to be in possession of narcotics. When one of the officers attempted to detain Humphrey, he struck the officer several times before fleeing the area.
The Dothan Police Department would like to thank all media outlets, the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and Troy (Alabama) Police Department for their assistance in locating and capturing this individual. The arrest of Demingus Humphrey now brings this case to a close.
• Demingus Montez Humphrey, black male, 19 years of age, of Guilford Street was arrested and charged with second degree Assault. A bond amount will be established at a later time. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
