Nine of every ten snakes found in South Alabama and the Florida panhandle are "not" poisonous. And reptile experts say they serve an environmental role.
In Walton County, University of Florida personnel introduced children and their parents to indigo and king snakes. They reduce rodent populations in our area. The kids were also shown pictures of vipers native to the panhandle. They include rattlesnakes and water moccasins…
