Tonight, a search and rescue effort for a missing boater in Northwest, Florida has been re-classified as a salvage operation:
Emergency vessels patrolled the Choctawhatchee bay off the Highway 331 Bridge in Walton County. In high seas and blustery winds, 41-year-old Robert Gregory of Mary Ester, Florida disappeared after his 14-foot aluminum john boat reportedly took on water and capsized. He and his 18-year-old nephew were thrown in the water. Tyler Carpenter of Fort Walton Beach made it back to shore, but his uncle has not been seen since seven o'clock this morning. The search for Gregory continues at daybreak tomorrow…
