(Santa Rosa Beach) - At approximately 7:48 pm last night, the South Walton Fire District (SWFD) received a report of a vehicle running into a residential structure in the area of Don Bishop Road.
SWFD arrived within minutes to find a black Lexus imbedded into the front wall of an apartment complex. Although no injuries were reported, there was significant structural damage to two units. SWFD crews assisted the tenants in gathering their personal belongings. The structures were vacated until the Walton County Building Department can assess the damages and determine when it is safe for re-entry.
Walton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the accident.
