Today, the Florida Forestry Service handed out free trees in recognition of "arbor day".
Maples, cherry, and cedar trees went like hot cakes at the Walton County Fairgrounds.
Forestry personnel gave out more than 1-thousand trees in just a few hours.
Homeowners say it's a great way to beautify their property and help the environment at the same time….
