Eufaula, Ala.—Wallace Community College – Sparks Campus will hold the 2013 Spring Commencement Exercises on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. The event will take place at the Eufaula Community Center in Eufaula, Alabama.
Ms. Susan Price, deputy chancellor of the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education, will offer the keynote address. Price is responsible for instructional and student services, adult education, general educational development testing, and special projects. She worked from 2004 to this past January as vice chancellor for Instructional and Student Services. She also served as interim chancellor from March to September of last year.
Previously, Ms. Price was the Director of the Appeals Division with the Washington State Department of Revenue, heading a division of 17 administrative law judges and five staff persons. She also served as the department’s legal counsel as assistant attorney general. Ms. Price began her legal career as a member of the litigation department at a national law firm headquartered in Seattle.
Ms. Price received her bachelor’s degree in English Literature/Creative Writing from Princeton University. She was an English teach before returning to school to pursue a law degree from the University of Virginia.
