Summer is here and that means kids are outside enjoying the sunshine.

For kids who don't know where their next meal is coming from, summer offers it's unique challenges.

The U.S.D.A provides free meals at many schools during the school year but it also continues into the summer only through a different program.

The National Summer Food Service Program provides free meals to children 18 and under.

There are different sites around Dothan that utilize the program.

From churches, to community centers - Anywhere there are children a new site can be started.

There are seven summer feeding locations in Dothan:

- The Youth Value Impact
- Hawk Houston Boys & Girls Club
- House of Prayer
- Kiddie Kastle
- Playland
- Martin Homes Apt. Complex
- Girls Inc. of Dothan
