U.S. Senator Shelby Visits Henry County to Talk Business

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby visits Henry County businesses and employees to talk about the importance of job creation for the state of Alabama.
This was the 32nd stop in Shelby’s statewide jobs and industry tour.
Held at the Great Southern Wood in Abbeville, local residents voiced their concerns about Obama care, ways of jobs helping the economy and transportation issues and regulations. Shelby say’s it’s a great honor to comeback to Alabama.

“The farm bill we haven’t passed it yet, it’s been in conference between the House and the Senate, and we’re hoping that we can do it because you need some certainty and some predictability. There’s a lot of farming and agriculture throughout the Wiregrass and maybe we could do it within the next week or so,” said Shelby.

Shelby’s first term in the U.S. Senate was in 1987. Since then he has had more than 1800 county visits in Alabama.
