Two Siblings Plan to Enter Plea Deal in Ga. Bank Robberies

ATLANTA (AP) -- Two of the three siblings accused of robbing a Valdosta bank during a cross-country crime spree that started in Florida and ended with a shootout in Colorado plan to enter into plea deals with prosecutors.

Court filings in the case, show Ryan Dougherty and Lee Grace Dougherty are in the process of working out plea agreements with federal prosecutors.

All three had filed motions asking a judge to hear their cases separately and to suppress statements they made to law enforcement while in custody. Ryan and Lee Dougherty this week filed motions to withdraw those requests, saying they were negotiating plea agreements.

All three have been indicted on bank robbery and firearm charges in Georgia.

A lawyer for Dylan Stanley-Dougherty said he did not yet have a signed plea agreement.
