Two New UA Associate Deans Named

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- Two University of Alabama faculty members have been named associate deans.

Reports say The College of Arts and Sciences Dean Robert Olin made the appointments, which are effective Aug. 16th.

Lisa Lindquist-Dorr, an associate professor of history will administer the social science division. Roger Sidje, an associate professor in mathematics, will manage diversity and multicultural programs.

Lindquist-Dorr joined the faculty in 2000, and Sidje joined the faculty in 2008.

Lindquist-Dorr succeeds professor Carmen Burkhalter, and Sidje will replace professor Jimmy Williams. Burkhalter and Williams are both returning to the faculty.
