Tropical Storm John Forms in Pacific Ocean

A new Tropical Storm has formed in the Pacific Ocean, south of Baja California, but poses no threat to land.

A Tropical Depression in the Pacific has strengthened to become Tropical Storm John.

This storm packs sustained winds of 40 miles per hour. These winds extend over 200 miles away from the center of the storm.

It is currently moving northwest and expected to curve out in the Pacific, away from the North American continent.
