On July 3, 2012, at approximately 10:03 p.m. Panama City Police Department officers responded to the 900 block of E. 8th Court in reference to a 911 caller who stated there were gun shots and a deceased female.

Officers were on scene within minutes and were directed by bystanders to a residence where the shots wear heard located at 907 E. 8th Court.

Officers made entry into the residence and located three deceased persons in different rooms of the residence who appeared to have gunshot wounds.

The scene was secured by officers awaiting the arrival of detectives and crime scene personnel.

Through the investigation the deceased were identified as Marco L. Bostwick, 40 years of age, Angelina M. Brunson, 43 years of age, and Mary L. Richardson, 83 years of age. Next of kin for each have been notified.

Detectives, crime scene personnel, and investigators with the Medical Examiner’s Office worked through the night collecting evidence and interviewing persons that may have knowledge about the incident.

Prelimary investigation results show that the deceased were shot inside the residence and that the incident is domestic violence related.

Brunson and her Aunt, Richardson, lived at the residence where the shooting took place; Bostwick was living on the same property in an adjacent structure and was in a relationship with Brunson. Brunson and Bostwick have a minor child in common who resides at 907 E. 8th Court and was present when the shooting took place.

The child fled the residence to a neighbor’s house prior to the arrival of police but was later located and is not physically harmed from the incident and is currently with family members.

Persons that were interviewed and police records indicate Bostwick and Brunson have been in a strained relationship for some time and that violence was common between them.

The Medical Examiner will determine the manner and cause of death as autopsies are scheduled for July 5, 2012.

Based on the investigation so far, detectives believe that Bostwick shot and killed Brunson, Richardson, and then himself.

The weapon that is believed to be involved was recovered at the scene.
