Traffic Stop becomes Drug Bust

The Washington County Drug Task Force, consisting of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Chipley Police Department, reports the arrest of two Chipley residents after a K-9 deputy spotted the two committing a traffic violation on Fire Tower Road in Washington County.

During the traffic stop, the alert K-9 deputy noticed the occupants of the vehicle were acting suspicious he then asked for and was given consent to search the vehicle. Drug paraphernalia and methamphetamines were found during the initial search of the vehicle.

WCDTF Investigators responded to the scene and found syringes, Sudafed tablets, hot plates as well as chemicals and paraphernalia used to manufacture methamphetamines.

Eric William Yeatman, 31 year old white male of 1st Street in Chipley, FL has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamines, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Listed Chemicals Used to Manufacture Methamphetamines.

Jolynne Rustin, 30 year old white female of 1st Street in Chipley, FL has been charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Listed Chemicals Used to Manufacture Methamphetamines.

Sheriff Bobby Haddock asks that anyone with information on illegal drug activity contact his office at 638-TIPS (8477).
