Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

DOTHAN , AL - On November 12, 2012 the Dothan Police Department made a felony narcotic arrest following a routine traffic stop. A patrolman performed the stop for a traffic violation on a vehicle driven by Terrance Baker in the 400 block of Columbia Highway. When the officer approached the vehicle he smelled the odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle after which a search of the vehicle was conducted. During the search, Baker stated that he had cocaine inside his sock which was then recovered. Baker was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Dothan City Jail.

•Terrance Baker, black male, 28 years of age, of West Adams Street was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $15,000 bond. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
