UPDATE (2:34am)
The Tornado Warning for Walton County has once again been extended, this time through 3am.
The storm containing the possible tornado is now near Caney Creek and Liberty and continues to move to the north.
Weather Service forecasters note that the storm still shows no signs of weakening at this time.

Forecasters continue to detect a possible tornado on radar.
It is now located near Alphine Heights, moving north at 30 miles per hour.
Recent trends on doppler radar do indicate that this storm may be gaining strength.
Do not attempt to look for the tornado! It may be obscured by heavy rain.

UPDATE (2:05am)
This warning has now been extended until 2:30am.
The storm is moving to the north at 35mph.
There is no official confirmation of a tornado on the ground. However, everyone in or near the warning area--see the cities listed below--should take shelter.

A possible tornado has been detected in Western Walton County.
The National Weather Service has posted a Tornado Warning until 2:15am for Western Walton County in the Florida Panhandle.
Forecasters with the Weather Service detected a "developing tornado," seven miles south of Mossy Head or Near New Home.
Other locations in the warning area include: Oakwood Hills, Pond Creek, Liberty, Fox Hill, New Harmony, Natural Bridge, Paxton, Lakewood, Gordon, Flowersville, Clear Springs and Caney Creek.
