This Is Last Year For Montgomery's Jubilee CityFest

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- Officials in Montgomery say this year will be the final one for Jubilee CityFest, the nonprofit music festival that began as a small downtown arts festival.

Jubilee CityFest, which began as a small downtown arts festival in 1976 and reinvented itself as the city's premier music festival in 1993, has continually evolved during the past years in an attempt to weather some difficult financial times.

But Jubilee board chairman Dick Morris announced in a news release Monday that 2012 is the nonprofit music festival's final year.
