The Future of Bama Jam Farms

ENTERPRISE-- The sentencing has come down and Ronnie Gilley will soon surrender himself to the federal penitentiary. But many wonder, what happens to the Bama Jam Farms project now?

"We do plan on moving forward with the total build of this total project. It is probably not going to be as expeditious as what we were planning and hoping for but at the end of the day it will be accomplished."

After starting Bama Jam back in 2008, Gilley says he found himself seeking out other business ventures, some that would later get him into trouble.

"The financial market crashed, you know, I thought it was the end of the project and of course we know the rest of the story. Bingo then became part of the equation and I honestly had no idea what electronic bingo was and I wish I didn't know today."

But nevertheless, plans to sustain the business project of Bama Jam Farms while Gilley is away are still being discussed.

"There are many, many plans, big plans still underway. Right now they're talking to a couple of folks about just general manager overseer kind of thing and good luck to them because they've got a big job to fill Ronnie's shoes, I'll say that!"

"As far as who we're gonna turn the project over to, as far as a person to come in to take my place, um, I don't know."

"As it stands right now we are in the process of putting a management team together. It will be operated by a board of managers and I'm gonna work very, very hard over the next, whatever time I have left before I surrender into the federal penitentiary, to make sure that we have a strong foundation to stand on."

As of now, Gilley is set to surrender himself on or before August 27th.
