In an effort to celebrate Wiregrass dads, District 1 Commissioner Kevin Dorsey hosted a family breakfast for the community.
Fathers participated in a open discussion focusing on issues facing fathers today. The event is part of the national campaign through President Obama's fatherhood initiative, Fatherhood Buzz. Local fathers received information on how to be a healthy active father.
"We're talking about dads being real dads, forget about your past and get back off the fence and make it happen," said Melvin White, the pastor of Clio Community Church.
Commissioner Dorsey says this event was all about celebrating fathers. Fatherhood buzz is typically done four times per year.
