Dothan's Mayor Mike Schmitz feels confident in the Circle City's future after the recent U.S.-China Manufacturing Symposium.
He delivered his State of the City address on Thursday in the commission chambers and says doing business with China is creating jobs and pouring money into the economy.
"You always look at you need to do better. But our unemployment dropped, the city is very financially strong. With the airport getting stronger and the medical school, and Commercial Jet, Glass Stream Boats coming, we just have a lot of good things happening," Schmitz said.
With the announcement of a 3-D printing facility opening in Dothan this year, he feels Dothan's economy will prosper.
