The month of September is national pain awareness month and today the community put on fun socks and hit the block.
On the employee sidewalk next to Southeast Pain Management center; employees, patients, and family members took a stroll to raise awareness of chronic pain. Volunteers were at the finish line cheering on the walkers as they crossed the finish line. They say no matter how severe the pain is they want it to be known that there is no need for the five mile run, a simple walk around the block or doing small exercises can actually help with managing the pain.
