Jackson County, Florida officials approve a budget to get updated and improved equipment for the county library.

The commission board has agreed to buy an EnvisionWare Software Program for the library. Costs for the program will come close to $11,000. Library workers are excited because the computer system will help employees become more productive.

"A lot of people have a lot of expectations of what the library provides. I just feel like that we're kind of stepping up into the league of our fellow libraries in the area," said Deborah Hynes, the Jackson County public library director

The new EnvisonWare program will be installed in October at the beginning of the county's new fiscal year.
