Dothan City Schools are taking initiative to create more interactive classrooms. They will bring Apple iPad Air devices to students this fall.
"They deserve this. They deserve the best in the classrooms and the best in technology," said Tami Culver, Dothan Education Foundation President.
The school system is funding the gadgets and Culver says the effort costs around $1 million. High school students will be the first to receive the iPads, followed by middle and elementary students.
There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, June 11th at 10:00 p.m., and a second meeting for those who cannot attend the first, on Tuesday July 8th at 5:30 p.m. Both meetings will be at the Dothan Opera House.
