Teen Charged with Home Invasion Robbery

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in connection with an October 15th home invasion robbery at Pier One Condominiums Fort Walton Beach.

17 year old Michael Anthony Smith Jr. was arrested Thursday on one count of home invasion robbery.

The 64 year old victim of the crime told deputies he was sitting inside his home when three assailants came in the back door around 1:30 in the morning.

He says one of the individuals struck him in the face several times as they demanded money. They then took his wallet, jewelry, and other items before leaving.

Investigators say the victim picked Smith out of a photographic line-up as the person who beat him during the robbery.

The investigation is continuing.
