Tomorrow is a big deadline for professional tax return preparers.
The Internal Revenue Service is reminding preparers to renew their preparer tax identification numbers or PTINS.
If they plan to prepare returns in 2014 they must renew.
Current PTINS expire tomorrow.
The annual PTIN requirement is part of the IRS’s ongoing effort to enhance tax administration and improve services to taxpayers.
They're reminding people to make sure if they go to a tax preparer to make sure they're credible.
The IRS website has tips to help you find one.
"We definitely are encouraging people to go ahead and get their PTIN renewed as soon as possible and avoid any kind of early year rush that might happen if everyone waits until the last minute to do it," said Dan Boone with the IRS.
Tax professionals can obtain or renew their PTINS at www.irs.gov/PTIN.
