A warning to parents whose children went trick 'r treating Wednesday in the Grand Lagoon Shores II subdivision in Panama City Beach.
Check the candy carefully.
A parent called Bay County sheriff's deputies, reporting they'd found a prescription pill stuck inside of a candy bar. The pill, which is a medication of high blood pressure called Prazosin Hydrochloride, was stuck inside of a 3 Musketeers candy bar.
The child got the candy while visiting homes on Clearwater Drive, Sand Dollar Drive, Fan Coral Drive, Rose Coral Drive, and Grand Lagoon Shores Drive.
The parent says they noticed the candy bar's wrapper appeared like it had been opened. Authorities are urging others to check for wrappers that may have been tampered with. and if you suspect your children's candy has been tampered with, report it immediately to local law enforcement.
