Suzanne Woods, president and chief executive officer of Flowers Hospital in Dothan, was recently elected to serve another term on the Alabama Hospital Association (AlaHA) Board of Trustees at the Association’s annual meeting. She will serve as a member at large.
“We are pleased to have Suzanne returning to serve as a board member for our association and appreciate her tremendous leadership both locally and statewide,” said J. Michael Horsley, FACHE, president of the Alabama Hospital Association.
Woods joined Flowers Hospital in 1995 and held numerous leadership positions during her 20-year tenure, including administrative resident, medical staff coordinator, vice president of professional services and chief operating officer before being named president and CEO in 2009.
She received her bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University in Human and Organizational Development and a master’s in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
The Alabama Hospital Association, based in Montgomery, is a statewide trade organization that represents more than 100 hospitals and numerous other health care providers by offering membership services designed to enhance the provision of health care in Alabama.
