Suspects Sough in McDonald's Robbery

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects responsible for a robbery at the McDonalds located at 2319 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach.

At about 1:30 a.m. four employees of McDonalds completed a thorough cleaning of the business in preparation for an inspection to be conducted today. As they left the business, one employee headed towards Thomas Drive, the other three headed towards a bank located next door.

As the three employees approached the bank, two men stepped out brandishing firearms and demanded they lay on the ground. All complied, even the fourth employee who was further away and near Thomas Drive. The suspects demanded the employees let them inside McDonalds. Once inside, the suspects demanded cash from the safe. The two men left with the cash heading across Thomas Drive and passing near the fourth employee who was still lying on the ground. This employee stated to investigators the two men were laughing about the robbery. The employee stated the two men crossed Thomas Drive and got into a car and drove west down Perman Place, a road just across Thomas Drive from McDonalds.
Security video inside the restaurant captured images of the suspects. The suspects are described one white male, 5’3” to 5’5”, about 140 lbs and one black male, 6’0 to 6’3, about 180 to 210 pounds.

Anyone with information on these suspects is asked to call the Bay County Sheriff’s Office at 747-4700 or Crime Stoppers at 785-TIPS.
