The Bay County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man suspected of using fraudulent documents.

Investigators say Angel Gonzalez-Gomez of 1807 Arthur Avenue, Panama City, was found to be in possession of a Puerto Rican birth certificate purchased for $1000 dollars and a social security number also purchased for $1000.

Information was received that Gonzalez-Gomez was using fraudulent documents.

The BCSO 287g Task Force went to his place of employment and spoke with him. Gonzalez-Gomez initially denied his documents were fraudulent but later admitted to the purchase of both the birth certificate and the social security number and using them to obtain a Florida Driver’s License under the name on the fraudulent documents.

Members of the 287g Task Force notified ICE about Gonzalez-Gomez, who in turn placed a detainer on him. Gonzalez-Gomez was arrested and charged with Criminal Use of Personal Identification Information.
