Just in time for Memorial Day, the National Fire Protection Association is out with its annual safety tips for summer grilling.
The fire prevention advocate reminds people to only use their propane and charcoal grills outside and never leave them unattended.
It also wants grillers to keep pets and children away from the barbecue area.
The NFPA says to make sure you check your propane tank hose for leaks before using the grill and to let coals cool completely if you use charcoal to cook.
