Students Launch Technical Careers in High School

By  |

People often look back on their lives and wonder how it could've been different had they taken another career path.

That's why some high school students are making sure they know what they want to be from early on.

High school students in the Health Science program at Dothan Technology Center will be certified nursing assistants before they get their diplomas in May.

They know how to check vital signs, draw blood, and even treat wounds. With a skill set already in place, these students have a head start on their peers.

"Our technology center allows our students to see first hand the types of careers that they could go into," explains guidance counselor Jennifer Matheny.
