Ozark, AL - One Ozark man wants to be sure he's protected during severe weather.
Tuesday, a storm shelter was installed at Edward Ambrose's home.
He is one of the many people who applied for a FEMA grant about 18 months ago.
In July, Ambrose received approval, and FEMA will reimburse him $4,000 for his shelter.
It will protect up to 12 people from an F5 tornado.
"It's like life insurance. It's the point of having something here and knowing you have a safe place to go during a storm. Everything we do is F5 rated. It exceeds a category 5 hurricane also.," said Kevin Julian, Storm Shelters of Northwest Florida Inc.
Unfortunately FEMA isn't accepting other grant applications at this time.
