Having fun at the Peanut Festival can add up quickly, but by budgeting, fairgoers say they are able to stay on budget and keep the fun going.
A family of four will spend about $148 a night at the festival. That includes, gate admission. Ride band armbands and dinner. But if you plan on playing games or buying souvenirs, be prepared to spend close to $200. That is why some families are cutting out some of the festivities this year.
“We probably won’t do any of the food, explain Dothan resident Sybil McGhee. “We will probably just do the rides and then head on home and get dinner.”
Another helpful way to stay on track and cut out all of the fun is to limit the amount of times you play a game. Also, plan your night out before you go to the festival so you know where you want to spend your money.
