UPDATE: Authorities Arrest Inmate Escapee in Enterprise

UPDATE, October 7th, 8:10PM - At approximately 5:42pm Monday the Enterprise Police Department received information that escaped inmate Rodney James Hall was in Enterprise.

The Enterprise Police Department made contact with Hall in the 200 Block of PR 1508 Enterprise, AL. Authorities say Hall barricaded himself inside a trailer at this time. After an hour and a half of negotiations, Hall surrendered to authorities without further incident. Rodney James Hall was placed under arrest and transported to the Coffee County Jail.
MONTGOMERY - Inmate Rodney James Hall, AIS# 2364445, is considered an escapee from the Elba Community Based Facility. All appropriate law enforcement agencies were notified at the time of the escape. Hall is classified as a community custody inmate and allowed potential employment outside the facility.

On October 6, 2013, at approximately 11:52 p.m., Hall, DOB 11-12-62, was unaccounted for during an institutional bed roster count. Hall could not be located during a subsequent ADOC search of the facility.

Hall is a white male, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes. He is sentenced out of Etowah County on May 24, 2004, and is serving a 25 year sentence for burglary and theft. Hall was denied parole on October 2, 2013, and rescheduled for a hearing in September, 2015. Hall’s expiration of sentence date is scheduled for January, 2029.
