South Walton Co. Beach Business

The 2010 BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill disaster is but a distant memory along Florida’s gulf coast two years later.
South Walton County's 26 miles of sugar, white sands are considered some of the most pristine found anywhere. Two years ago, publicity over the oil spill destroyed tourism here even though the Florida Panhandle was hardly affected. One restaurant owner says the gulf region has rebounded in a big way. Business couldn't be better.
