South Walton County Lifeguards

Lifeguards are now on duty in South Walton County.
There is 9-lifeguard towers stretched along 26-miles of beaches.
The lifeguards don't just keep an eye out for swimmers in distress.
They also teach the public about the flag warning system.
Officials say a majority of drowning deaths happen when red flags are flying.
