Soldiers Remembered in Ozark

Dale County takes pride in the community members who serve our country.

On the first floor and in the back of the Dale County Courthouse, hundreds of names are included on plaques and a monument.

Veterans of World Wars one and two, the Korean War and the Vietnam War are included.

Community historians say the walls are a way to always remember the bravery from Dale County.

"People who served in them are sentimental about it. And the memories of it, and they want to preserve it for the future, I think it's very appropriate."

We reached out to a number of sources to find who put the plaques up and those we talked to weren't sure If you know who deserves the recognition, let us know.
