Significant Weather Advisory: Barbour County until Midnight

A strong thunderstorm capable of producing penny-sized hail and 40 mile-per-hour winds will move through parts of Barbour County over the next 35 minutes.

The National Weather Service office in Birmingham has issued a Significant Weather Advisory for Central Barbour County until midnight Central time.

Forecasters at the Weather Service were tracking a strong thunderstorm near Georgetown, moving west at a slow 10 miles per hour.

According to the Weather Service, "locations in or near the path of this storm include Eufaula, Osco, Gain, White Oak, and Richards Crossroads."
