Significant Weather Advisory: Barbour County until 12:15am

A storm that could potentially produce hail and gusty winds is moving through parts of Barbour County.

Just before 11:30pm Central time, the National Weather Service in Birmingham detected a line of storms "extending from 9 miles west of Lumpkin to Spring Hill." This line is moving to the southeast at 15 miles per hour.

The storm could produce hail up to half an inch in diameter, in addition to wind gusts to 40 miles per hour.

Communities in or near these storms' path include: Eufaula, Comer, Hawkinsville, White Oak. It could also affect the Lakepoint Resort State Park. This warning also includes parts of Russell county.

Forecasters do mention the possibility of these storms gaining strength.
