A line of strong thunderstorms will move through locations such as Horn Hill, Brantley, and Petrey through 4:30am.
The National Weather Service has issued a Significant Weather Advisory for Covington and Crenshaw Counties in Alabama and Okaloosa County in Florida through 4:30am Central Time.
Forecasters were tracking a line of strong thunderstorms stretching northeast of Greenville to northeast of Florala moving to the east at 35 miles per hour.
These storms could produce strong, gusty winds of 55 miles per hour. These winds could “blow off tree limbs and also blow around small, unsecured objects,” forecasters warn.
Some, but not all, of the communities affected by this complex of storms include: Horn Hill, Petrey, Rutledge, Luverne, Glenwood, Dozier, Brantley. Surrounding areas as well as parts of Alabama Highway 185 could also potentially see impacts from these storms.
